So much for a quiet day. I think David ended up having meetings until about 3pm today. The physical therapist came in Mom's room to evaluate her in order to start rehab. She touched a place on Mom's thigh and Mom told her it was real sore. After inspecting the site...and then an ultrasound it was found she had a large blood clot. Dr. Hurley was on call...PTL...he immediately called in a general surgeon to put in a filter. The surgeon arrived quickly but after looking over her lab work decided there was a problem in the kidneys and would need to flush them out before continuing. There will be more lab work tomorrow morning early and if all looks okay they will do the procedure tomorrow. We covet your prayers. Every procedure on a 92 year old is serious.
