Nothing could prepare me for what I saw today as we drove through the capital. I had seen lots of film footage on TV. David had sent me pictures but NOTHING could prepare me for the devastation that I witnessed. The main street of PAP looks like it has been bombed and bombed again. Very few buildings standing and the ones that are standing will fall when they try to clean up the damaged ones.
It amazed me to see how the people continue to try to do commerce on top of the rubble. Please pray for their continued resilience in the midst of devastating circumstances.
